Dr. Ellen Turner
Dr. Ellen Turner is board certified in dermatology through the American Board of Physician Specialties, and board certified in anti-aging and regenerative medicine through the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. For nearly two decades, she has offered her patients a complete range of dermatology services, medical, surgical, and cosmetic, with a wellness-focused approach that looks beyond the skin to the whole person.

Her practice mix is approximately 80% medical and surgical dermatology patients, and 20% cosmetic patients, reflecting her foundation as a medical dermatologist first.

Her Father’s Diagnosis Changed Everything
Dr. Turner’s commitment to skin cancer awareness and treatment is deeply personal. Her own father was diagnosed with Stage 3C melanoma, an experience that continues to shape how she approaches every patient who walks through her doors with a suspicious spot. Her story earned a Telly Award in 2015 for the Colorescience Skin Cancer Risk campaign.
EDUCATION
A Strong Clinical Foundation
Dr. Turner earned her Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock in 2001. She completed her internship year and one year of residency in Internal Medicine, followed by her Dermatology residency, at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, completing her training in 2006. She has held a Texas Medical License since 2005.

A Continued Commitment to Dermatologic Education
Dr. Turner has served as an annual guest lecturer for dermatology residents at the University of Texas Southwestern Department of Dermatology, teaching on soft tissue augmentation. Her research has been published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, and she has spoken at national symposiums on facial aesthetics, lasers, and platelet-rich plasma therapy.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Life Beyond Dermatology
Dr. Turner is married with twin daughters, Caroline and Jacquelyn. Outside the practice, she enjoys quail and pheasant shooting, playing piano, gardening, reading mystery and suspense novels, writing essays and short stories, and cooking Southern-style cuisine.
