Cost depends on how many syringes are needed to reach your goals, which varies from person to person. Because Restylane® Contour is a cosmetic treatment, it is not covered by insurance. Restylane® Contour has been shown to maintain its effect for up to 12 months when treating the cheeks and midface, and up to 18 months when treating the temples. Duration varies from person to person based on metabolism, age, and lifestyle. How is Restylane® Contour different from Restylane® Lyft? Both add volume to the cheeks, but they behave differently. Contour uses a softer, more flexible XpresHAn™ gel that bends and moves with your expressions for a natural look, while Lyft is a firmer gel that provides stronger structural lift. Our providers choose between them based on your anatomy and goals. How many syringes will I need? It varies by individual. In clinical studies, patients received roughly 1 mL to 2 mL of Restylane® Contour per cheek. Your provider will determine the right amount for your face during your consultation. Does the treatment hurt? Most people feel only minor discomfort. Restylane® Contour contains lidocaine to numb the area as it is injected, and a topical numbing cream can be applied beforehand for added comfort. Is there any downtime? Very little.
